On the ninth day of Navratri, symbolized by the color purple, actress Sapthami Gowda discusses her enduring affection for the hue, noting its prominent presence in her wardrobe this festive season. "Navratri festivities are subdued in our home, but Ayudha Puja and Vijayadashami hold great significance for our family," Sapthami shares. "Purple is a versatile color that embodies beauty, ambition, and spirituality. I personally associate it with inner growth and find it encompassing everything I value. The theme of divine femininity has been central to my observance of this festival season. I began Dasara celebrations in Mysuru clad in a purple sari, offering prayers at Chamundeshwari temple, and continued on to visit Kolhapur Mahalakshmi temple. The divine feminine aspect has played a significant role in my festive rituals. Navratri holds sentimental value for my family – we have fond memories of observing Ayudha Puja at my father's workplace in the police department, where weapons would be respectfully arranged with lemons. During Lakshmi Puja, we would place our textbooks on our study table and pay our respects to knowledge. I admire how our cultural traditions honor the smallest facets of life."
